Probarly the most popular short walk in the area, Pucks Glen a dark, mystical place would not go amiss in Lord of the Rings. A tumbling burn which can be really impressive when in spate, criss crossed by bridges enclosed by rocky walls heavily covered in mosses and lichens covered by the tree canopy. There is several variations to this route once you get up to the forestry track. One variation which includes some cross country walking and good navigation is to locate the reconstructed bothy or as I would call it a sheiling, at grid ref NS 15552 85374 preferably with a companion or freinds.
